Surface condition & pre-existing damage Pressure washing and exterior cleaning can reveal or expose pre-existing issues such as:
Loose mortar or pointing
Cracked render
Damaged sealants
Worn decking
Fragile roof tiles
Loose block paving
I take great care in my work. However, I cannot accept responsibility for damage resulting from existing defects, poor installation, age-related deterioration, or previously weakened surfaces. If I believe a surface is unsuitable for cleaning, I reserve the right to refuse or modify the service for safety reasons.
Results Every surface is different. While I aim to achieve the best possible results:
Complete stain removal cannot be guaranteed
Heavily weathered or permanently stained areas may not fully restore
Natural colour variation may become visible after cleaning
Future contaminants cannot be permanently prevented
I will always give honest advice about what results you can realistically expect.
Chemical cleaning Where agreed, I will use appropriate cleaning agents in accordance with manufacturer guidance and UK regulations. I take reasonable steps to protect surrounding areas, including plants and surfaces. However:
Temporary discolouration may occur
Sensitive materials should be highlighted to me in advance
You should inform me of any known surface concerns
Great British weather Exterior cleaning is weather-dependent. In cases of heavy rain, frost, or unsafe conditions, I may need to reschedule work for safety and quality reasons.
Access and utilities You are responsible for providing safe access to the work area, along with access to a suitable water supply. If you have a large number of objects on your hard surface area, then we can discuss beforehand how to best manage this on the day of the clean.*
*Moving of objects If it is agreed that I will move objects for you (i.e. small plant pots, garden furniture) in order to complete a clean, then I will endeavour to take as much care as possible. However, should pots break due to existing cracks or damage, then I will not be liable for this. Should there be objects that I am unsure about moving due to existing damage or weakness, then I will discuss this with you first before moving.
